Mid Valley Shopping Centre to host Gippsland Jobs Expo in partnership with Local Jobs Program on 23 March 2023
Latrobe City Council and LJP will host Gippsland Jobs Expo at Mid Valley Shopping Centre on March 23. Job seekers can meet employers, no registration needed. Businesses can register to exhibit.
Latrobe City Council, in partnership with the Australian government's Local Jobs Program (LJP) to host the next Gippsland Local Jobs Expo in Morwell. The Jobs Expo will be held at Mid Valley Shopping Centre on Thursday 23 March between 9.30am to 2.30pm. The event is an opportunity for job seekers to meet with employers and discuss available positions, apprenticeships and career pathways in Latrobe City and the surrounding region. Job seekers will not need to register for this event.

Jobs expo seeks exhibitors
The Gippsland Local Jobs Expo is currently taking registrations for businesses to exhibit and provide submissions to the jobs board that will be displayed on the day. Council is committed to helping local businesses and residents to strive to achieve the highest levels of employment in the City as we continue our economic transition.
Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Councillor Kellie O'Callaghan said the Gippsland Local Jobs Expo in Morwell is a great opportunity for people looking for work to connect with local employers. "There will be many jobs in a variety of industries advertised on the day, so if you are looking for work, I encourage you to head along and chat to one of the many employers who will be at the expo."
Jobs board displays vacancies
Cr O'Callaghan said, "Job seekers should bring along their resumes, as the Skills and Jobs Centre will be offering express resume checks and interview skills coaching, along with a free sausage sizzle. Employers with multiple job vacancies are encouraged to register to exhibit."
"A physical jobs board will be available to display local vacancies, which will enable connection with employers who are unable to attend on the day, or who have a small number of vacancies." said the Mayor.
