Men's Sheds for West and East Gippsland get funding to continue improving the local men's health
Funding granted for more men's sheds across the region to help them build their connectivity and share their skills.
There are almost 1000 Men's Sheds across Australia and they do a great job. Ten of these are located right here in the seat of Monash. That's why I'm very pleased to announce that the government has awarded funding of $6,175 towards several Men's Sheds in our region.
Gippsland Men's Sheds will receive Federal Government funding to develop new programs and improve facilities for members
Funding recipients
Recipients of the men's sheds funding include:
- Corinella and District Men's Shed and Woodies Group
- Leongatha Men's Shed
- Korumburra Men's Shed
- Neerim District Community House and Men's Shed
This funding will allow these Men's Sheds to purchase new IT equipment and train their members so they can stay connected through modern media.
Opportunity for men and boys
Men's Sheds provide an opportunity for men and boys in our community to build connections and share their skills in a positive, welcoming environment. Their constant expansion and hard work is a testament to the support they provide for boys and men in our regions. That's Just as I see it.
