Vacation opportunities expand
Executive Manager People & Culture, Pam Porter, said: "Vacation work experience at East Gippsland Water is a fantastic opportunity for undergraduates seeking challenging and rewarding vacation employment in the water industry, particularly if they are from the local area.
"This year, we have Connor who is a student returning to undertake his vacation employment with us for the second time. Connor is a chemical engineering student at Melbourne University and a local from Bairnsdale. He has just completed his second year of studies and will be assisting with water treatment and network related projects," she said.

Ms Porter said, "We also have Kate, another local from Flaggy Creek. Kate is working with the Strategy & Innovation Team and will be assisting in the areas of Integrated Water Management, Climate Change and Sustainability. Kate has just completed her studies at LaTrobe University in Wildlife and Conservation Biology. The third student, Daniel, is studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) at Federation University's Gippsland Campus and is working with our Asset Planning Team working on a range of projects."
"There is an array of opportunities for students to work with us in our vacation employment program across many of our disciplines and I would encourage students to apply when the program opens again for registration later this year," Ms Porter said. Applications to the Vacation Employment Program are open from 30 June each year, closing on 30 September. Visit East Gippsland Water's website to find out more.
