Foster Structure Plan Discussion Paper community drop-in sessions on 25 November and 11 December 2022
Council endorsed going out for public comment on the Foster Structure Plan Discussion Paper.
The Discussion Paper has been designed to give the community information about the current state of play and some prompting questions for the future of Foster. During the engagement period, the community are encouraged to come along to one of the following dropin sessions:
- Friday 25 November - 9.00am to 12.00pm in the Foster Main Street at the covered laneway
- Sunday 11 December - 9.00am to 11.00am at the Prom Produce and Craft Market (Foster Showgrounds)
There is also the option of completing an online survey, or participating in an online discussion board by visiting Foster Structure Plan website. Once feedback closes on Friday 23 December 2022, council will work to develop a Draft Structure Plan that will be released for final public comment in 2023.

Strategic plans in place
Mohya Davies, Mayor South Gippsland Shire Council said, "This Discussion Paper is the first step of updating the 2008 Foster Structure Plan, one of council's oldest structure plans, to reflect the current and future needs of the Foster community."
"As our towns continue to grow, it is important that we have strategic plans in place. Sustainable growth is one of our Council Plan objectives, and it is great to see this sort of work coming through to support that objective." Mayor Davies said.
