The first round of community consultation ran between December 2022 and February 2023 and attracted feedback from 770 people.
Council presents Draft Coastal Strategy after extensive community feedback. Review and share your input by 6 August 2023
Coastal strategy feedback
Feedback was submitted both online and through face-to-face pop-up events in Port Welshpool, Toora, Sandy Point, Venus Bay, Tarwin Lower and the Stony Creek Racecourse. Now, we look to our community once again to let us know if the draft Strategy reflects community feedback and expectations.
In the draft Strategy, there are a mix of 22 short-, medium- and long-term actions. All of these have been carefully selected based on what actions we must take to keep our community safe, whilst understanding the opportunities these areas create for tourism.
It also details how we can work with our community and key stakeholders along the way. To read the draft Coastal Strategy and provide your feedback, please visit Draft Coastal Strategy - Round Two Consultation page. Feedback closes Sunday 6 August 2023.
