Bullock Island upgrade with new facilities for Lakes Entrance Fishermen's Co-Operative underway
Funding to various projects for Bullock Island that would benefit the benefit the locals and visitors.
Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester said all levels of government had committed funding to various projects including the replacement bridge, new toilet block, sea-wall upgrades, car parking, improved jetties, and new facilities at LEFCOL.
New development will support Bullock Island’s transformation as a major tourism attraction and help the region recover from recent challenges
Transformation for locals and visitors
The ongoing investment on Bullock Island is starting to take shape with almost $10 million worth of works set to transform the island for locals and visitors. Work on the new bridge will be undertaken by local firm Jarvis Norwood and provide better pedestrian links to the Esplanade shared pathway.
