Emma Wiggle and Elsa from Frozen appear at local parks in Wellington Shire from 5 to 13 March 2022 as part of Parks Week
Parks Week runs from 5 to 13 March with a jam-packed calendar of free or affordable events for the whole family.
It's time to dust off the kids' costumes, as everyone's favourites and Gippsland's own Emma Wiggle and Elsa from Frozen will be making special appearances at local parks during Parks Week 2022! Our youngest community members are guaranteed a great time during Parks Week at one of our Day Out events, with activities including a jumping castle, face painting, balloon twisting and a petting zoo.
Watkins started ballet when she was four, she saw the Wiggles perform Irish dancing and later studied other styles of dance, including jazz, hip hop, tap and contemporary, she attended The McDonald College, a performing arts school, won a full scholarship at the Sydney Film School and completed a certificate specialising in musical theatre at ED5 International in Sydney
Baby's and kids' day out
Baby's Day Out will take over Sale Botanic Gardens on Tuesday 8 March for children aged 0-4, and their parents and carers. This year's theme is 'Frozen' - Gippsland's own Elsa will make a special appearance and kids are encouraged to dress as their favourite character!
Wednesday 9 March is Kids Day Out at Yarram Memorial Park. This event is a free, family fun day for children aged 0-6 years, as well as their parents and carers. Gippsland's own Emma Wiggle will make a special appearance and children are encouraged to dress as their favourite character from The Wiggles.
Parks Week isn't just for the kids, our parks and gardens teams have worked with our community to put together a fun calendar of events right across Wellington. From forest therapy to community markets, skateboarding sessions to tree planting and culminating in the Sale Music Festival on 13 March, these free activities are a great way to appreciate and spend time in our parks.
Children will delight in seeing their favourite characters brought to life including Elsa from Frozen who will make a special appearance
