The lead into the Council election has begun and there are a few things that the council wants to remind you of.
South Gippsland Shire Council wants to provide an open, responsive council that offers the community flexible types of support, with prioritized support for the communities and organisations most impacted with the different situations we are having these days. We believe that impactful, creative and sustainable solutions come from people closest to the issues being addressed and implemented by organizations trusted by the community, the council would like you to get connected and updated.

Applications for round 2 are open!
South Gippsland Shire Council's Community Grants Program is open for applications. The program was designed to support community initiatives that enhance the quality of life, heritage, recreation and cultural opportunities for South Gippsland residents. There are grants available in a number of categories that can help community groups and community-run events thrive. Round Two of the Community Grants Program closes on Wednesday 20 October 2021.

The council aims to support community initiatives that enhance the quality of life and opportunities for South Gippsland. Various supports and funding are made for the improvement of the community life of the residents, to ensure they get what they need and what the community deserves.
Storm recovery survey
Council is working with response, relief and recovery agencies to understand the impacts of the June storm event on our community. We would like to hear about your experiences via the button below. Your feedback will help us to prepare for future emergency events. If you still require assistance, the Storm and Flood Recovery Support, with a hotline available on 1800 560 760.
Agricultural and pastoral society grants program
If you run an Agricultural show, there have just been grants of up to $10,000 released by the Victorian Government that may help you out. The grants can be used for a range of purposes, including to implement COVID-safe measures and support the use of technology to encourage remote participation in show activities. Hard waste booking deadline extended
Hard waste bookings have been extended until 17 September 2021 with collections to take place in October. To make a booking and find out more, visit hard waste collection service.
Community days with the administrators
Council invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) to provide opportunities to present to or meet with Administrators. EOIs are to be submitted by 9.00am by the third Friday of each month. For more information, please visit the community day.
