Draft South Gippsland Economic Development and Visitor Economy Strategies, Amendment C126 and development plan application on public exhibition
Council is inviting you to send your feedback about the South Gippsland planning scheme and development.
Council welcomes your feedback on documents currently for public exhibition.

Council has received a request from Beveridge Williams to approve a Development Plan for the land at 18A Davis Street Nyora & 32 Grundy Avenue Nyora. The proposal seeks to create approximately 60 residential lots.
Council is inviting the community to send their feedback and let them voice out their concerns
Project proposal
The Development Plan has been submitted in response to the requirements of the Development Plan Overlay (DPO) Schedule 5: Nyora Residential Development Transition Area. Council must ensure that the Development Plan submitted satisfies the requirements of the DPO5 before it will be approved by Council. The Development Plan is on public exhibition until close of business on 11 June 2021.
It is important to note that if the Development Plan is approved by Council, no further public notification for the subdivision of the land will occur.
Development plan documents
The Development Plan is on exhibition until 11 June 2021. The Development Plan comprises of the following documents:
- Development plan, site context, site analysis, design response, contributions plan, subdivision and staging plan
- Nyora Residential Development Plan (DPO5) planning report dated July 2018 reference no: 1601444
- Stormwater management strategy part 1, dated July 2018
- Stormwater management strategy part 2, dated Dec 2018
- Flora and fauna assessment dated April 2017 report no: 17031 (1.0)
- Traffic and transport assessment dated 2 August 2018
If you have any concerns regarding the Development Plan, you must advise Council in writing of these concerns as part of this current process.
Further information
The Development Plan Overlay Schedule 5 of the South Gippsland Planning Scheme can be viewed South Gippland planning scheme. The Development Plan must be consistent with the requirements of this document for Council to approve the plan.
Development plan submissions
Submissions to the Development Plan must be addressed to the Planning Department, South Gippsland Shire Council, Private Bag 4 Leongatha 3953 or email council@southgippsland.vic.gov.au. Submissions must clearly note that they are a submission to the Development Plan, 18A Davis Street Nyora & 32 Grundy Avenue Nyora.
Please note that if you email your submission, Council will facilitate all further correspondence to you via email. All submissions are public documents and can be copied and distributed by Council without the consent of the author.
