Latrobe Regional Gallery August 2021
50 Years: 50 Artists is a major exhibition to commemorate 50 years of Latrobe Regional Gallery from 4 September to 7 November
The show will feature works from our collection by artists who have made a significant contribution to the development of art in Gippsland. The exhibition will also include artworks borrowed from artists who are living or working in Gippsland.
Latrobe Regional Gallery Celebrates 50 Years One of Victoria's largest regional galleries, Latrobe Regional Gallery at Morwell, turns 50 this year
The final group of artists will be three artists commissioned to create new work for inclusion in the exhibition. The exhibition is forward-looking with an eye to the future and with an emphasis on contemporary art.
Exhibition by Local Art Societies
Moe, Morwell and Traralgon Art Societies stage an exhibition on the theme of 'land'. The show is an annual showcase of the work of artists from these societies. In 2021, the exhibition is scheduled to coincide with the 50th anniversary exhibition. The show will be on 4 September to 7 November.

We believe that art can inspire the youngest to the biggest kid, that's why we've created a dedicated immersive art-play space right here at LRG!
Our Spring events calendar offers a variety of opportunities for the public to be inspired by the creative legacy of some of Gippsland's most prolific artists. With public programs aimed at engaging the creative minds of the next generation of artists, some Live events to attend and artist workshops there is something on offer for all.
