Drinking fountains installed at Seaspray pump track and Stratford skatepark by Gippsland Water and Wellington Shire Council
Gippsland Water and Wellington Shire Council unveiled new Drink Gippy Tap branded fountains at Seaspray pump track and Stratford skatepark, promoting tap water, accessibility, and environmental consciousness. Over 50 fountains donated in 10 years.
Gippsland Water and Wellington Shire Council have worked together to deliver new drinking fountains at Seaspray pump track and Stratford skatepark. These fountains are the first in Wellington Shire to feature the new Drink Gippy Tap campaign branding. The campaign recently launched by Gippsland Water promotes tap water as the drink of choice, through the use of fun designs that share the health and environmental benefits of tap water.

Accessible tap water
Gippsland Water general manager people and customer Michael Crane said the fountains would make tap water more accessible for people while on the go. "We're committed to making it easy for locals and visitors to access free and fresh drinking water when they're out and about."
"We're also keen to help people do their bit for the environment by carrying reusable drink bottles, knowing they'll be able to get a refill. The increasing number of fountains being installed around the region as a result of our partnership with Council helps to tick both boxes," Mr Crane said.
Water fountain partnership
Wellington Shire Council Mayor Ian Bye said the new water fountains are a fantastic result of an ongoing partnership with Gippsland Water. "These drinking fountains are great additions for Seaspray and Stratford, providing locals, visitors, and their pets with easy access to free drinking water. More importantly, the fountains encourage everyone to stay hydrated, which is especially important as we approach the summer season."
Both fountains include an attached dog bowl. Gippsland Water has donated more than 50 drinking fountains across its service area in the last 10 years. To find out more about Gippsland Water's Drink Gippy Tap campaign or to find your nearest drinking fountain visit Drinking fountain locations page.
