Proposed community hub for Glenview Park in Traralgon supported by Darren Chester
Gippsland MP Darren Chester is supporting Latrobe City Council's proposal to establish a community hub and purpose built facility for local groups at Glenview Park in Traralgon.
Mr Chester said establishing a new hub for community groups which had facilities destroyed in the June 2021 floods was an important part of recovery. "The damage caused by the floods left many community groups such as the Gippsland Ranges Roller Derby and Traralgon Men's Shed without a home," Mr Chester said.

Getting the project underway
Mr Chester also said, "Latrobe City Council's plan to move these groups to Glenview Park and create a purpose-built facility would mean these groups can operate again and support the members and wider community."
Mr Chester said he would be supportive of any funding bids to get this project underway. "I would support any funding bids Latrobe City Council submitted to the Federal Government for this project. A large infrastructure project of this size requires all levels of government to work in partnership with the local community."
