Advocating for agriculture
Mr Chester said, "David and the NFF membership are putting the pressure on the Albanese government because they understand the impact of bad policies on Australia's capacity to grow food and fibre."
"Our farmers are under siege with government policies increasing input costs, forcing them to pay more taxes for the biosecurity risks of imports, reduced access to workers through the ag visa program, water buybacks in the Murray Darling Basin, and banning live sheep exports."
"As the new president, David is strongly representing the interests of farmers across Australia, including Gippsland, and I'm keen to work with him to deliver better policies for the agricultural sector," Mr Chester said.
