In-person customer service at West Gippsland Arts Centre reopens from 19 September 2023
Baw Baw Shire Council reopens in-person customer service in Warragul at West Gippsland Arts Centre, offering face-to-face options alongside online services.
From Tuesday 19 September, Baw Baw Shire Council's in-person customer service functions will reopen in Warragul at West Gippsland Arts Centre. Located within the Arts Centre, a new dedicated customer service counter will operate next to the box office every weekday from 10am to 4pm.
Warragul in-person customer service closed in late 2021 due to COVID-19. Upon reopening, residents can access services seamlessly alongside Arts Centre box office

Mayor of Baw Baw Shire Cr Annemarie McCabe said, "Although there has been a huge shift towards online customer service, especially in the wake of COVID-19, we know that many residents prefer face-to-face interactions with council and we believe it is important to offer that option. That's why we are so pleased to reopen our Warragul customer service functions with a new counter at the Arts Centre, in addition to the existing Customer Service Centre in Drouin."
Council's Warragul customer service centre ceased face to face operations in late 2021 in response to COVID-19 health advice and state government restrictions. Once reopened, residents will have direct access to council's customer service staff for enquiries and payments, with no disruptions to the Arts Centre box office service.
"By providing in-person customer service centres in Drouin and Warragul, our two busiest community hubs, we are making it more accessible and convenient for our community to get in touch with us via their preferred method. Whether that is online, over the phone or in person, I encourage our residents to explore the most suitable option available for their individual needs," says Mayor McCabe.
