Replacement of Downies Bridge timbers in Traralgon South is nearing completion with help of federal government's Bridges Renewal Program
Work to upgrade Downies Bridge in Traralgon South is well underway.
Local MP Darren Chester said the replacement of the timber bridge was funded through the federal government's Bridges Renewal Program. "The timber bridge was no longer fit for purpose and needed to be replaced to ensure the track remained usable for local residents and farmers. After facing delays due to inclement weather the new concrete bridge structure has been installed and surrounding civil works are approaching completion." Mr Chester said.
Local MP Darren Chester recently inspected the work underway at Downies Bridge and said the new bridge would improve accessibility for road users
