The quality of Gippsland-related websites on the Internet is a great indication of the talent and skill that lies within Gippsland’s information technology and multimedia industry.
The Internet is teeming with websites that educate, entertain and inform people about the Gippsland region, its residents and lifestyle. In fact, just entering the keyword "Gippsland" into the Google search engine will give you just short of 150,000 results. It’s great to see that so many people are using the Internet to promote Gippsland to the rest of the world.
With the number of home-based Internet users increasing to a huge 51% of Australians in 2001, it is encouraging that Gippsland is not falling behind the information age.
